How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a cute chick, you need:
- a large polystyrene egg (12 cm)
- a white cardboard bowl
- yellow acrylic paint and a brush
- a wooden skewer
- feathers
- fabric flowers
- 2 googly eyes (Ø 2.5 cm)
- colored paper sheets
- adhesive dots
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Paint the egg with yellow acrylic paint.
Tip: Stick the egg on a wooden skewer so you can paint it without getting your hands dirty and let it dry more easily!
Step 2
Cut the "collar" of the cardboard bowl then cut the edges to recreate a broken eggshell effect.
Step 3
Cut and then insert feathers into the polystyrene to create the chick's wings and a little tuft.
Tip: use the wooden stick to make holes in the polystyrene before inserting the feathers!
Step 4
Stick two large googly eyes with adhesive dots.
Step 5
Glue small colorful fabric flowers using adhesive dots to create a beautiful crown.
Step 6
Cut small cheeks and a beak from colored paper sheets, then stick the elements with adhesive dots.
Step 7
Place the chick in its shell and you're done!
