- Wooden letters « Christmas »
- Metallic colored chenille stems
- Colored bells
- Glitter foam rubber star stickers
- Glittery buttons (red, blue, green…)
- Satin cord
- A cutting mat
- A hole punch
- Adhesive glue dots
- An eraser
- A steel compass + pencil
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
Turn the cardboard plate over and draw a triangle in the center (= shape of the Christmas tree).
Step 2:
Using a compass, make small holes spaced 1.5 cm apart along the sides of the triangle (do not make holes on the base of the triangle).
Step 3:
Turn the plate over and using a hole punch, make holes at the marked spots.
Tip: Use a cutting board to protect your work surface!
Step 4:
Cut the chenilles in half and then attach a colored jingle bell to each piece of chenille.
Step 5:
Pass the caterpillars through the holes to create a beautiful colored tree with no empty spaces.
Step 6 :
Fold the end of the caterpillars behind the plate so that they maintain their position.
Step 7 :
Glue a golden star made of foam rubber to the top of the tree.
Step 8:
Using glue dots, decorate the edge of the plate with glitter buttons and the letters "noël".
Step 10:
Finally, make a hole at the top of the plate so that it can be hung on a cord.
