Christmas Tree with Cardboard Straws
Discover an easy activity that allows children to create small trees to hang on the large Christmas tree! And all it takes is simply wooden sticks and cardboard straws.
A simple, fun, colorful Christmas craft that's perfect for kids!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To create a Christmas tree you will need :
- Cardboard straws
- Wooden strips (length: 15 cm)
- Felt star stickers
- Adhesive rhinestones Ø 6 mm
- Metal cord
- Strong white glue
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
Cut about 16 pieces of straws ranging from 2 cm to 10 cm, with each straw measuring 5 mm more than the previous one.
Step 2:
Glue the straws from the smallest to the largest on the wooden tab using strong white glue.
Once all the straws are glued, let the glue dry for a few hours.
Step 3:
Tip: run the tip of a pen through the ends of the straws to reshape them back to their round form.
Step 4:
Stick a star sticker on top of the tree.
You can layer the stars to create beautiful color effects!
Step 5:
Pass the metallic cord through the first straw and make a knot to hang your creation.
Step 6:
And finally, stick adhesive rhinestones on the tree to add a touch of sparkle.
