In this creative activity, we will use cardboard cups and paper cases to make fun and colorful clowns!
An easy and fun craft to do with children from a young age.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make funny clowns you need:
- white cardboard cups
- colorful paper cupcake liners
- googly eyes Ø 18 mm
- pom-poms
- pipe cleaners
- buttons
- markers
- a stick of white glue
- adhesive gel dots
Step 1
Fold 5 or 6 paper cases to create small "fans" that we will use to make the clown's hair.
Here we have folded the cases in 4.
Step 2
Turn the cup upside down and glue the small paper fans with a glue stick.
Since the cupcake liners are made of very thin paper, they can easily be glued with a simple glue stick!
Step 3
Take 2 paper cups and fold them in half to make the clown's bow tie.
Glue the 2 fans face to face at the bottom of the cup with the glue stick.
Step 4
Stick the various accessories with gel adhesive dots:
- 2 googly eyes
- a pom-pom for the nose
- a button in the center of the bowtie
Step 5
Draw a smile and 2 little pink cheeks using markers.
Step 6
Create 2 small holes on each side of the cup (using a toothpick for example).
Step 7
Slide a colored caterpillar through the 2 holes.
Step 8
Model the caterpillar to create the clown's arms.
