How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a harlequin you will need:
- a white cardboard cup
- a large wooden stick
- a sturdy beige card
- a patterned card
- accessory stickers (buttons, bows, feathers)
- 2 moving eyes Ø 18 mm
- a pom-pom
- paper baking cups
- a round hole punch Ø 5 cm
- a pair of scissors
- a craft knife
- adhesive dots
Step 1
Cut out a circle of 5 cm from a strong beige card to create the face of the harlequin.
You can use a hole punch or trace the circle with the bottom of a cup and then cut it out with a pair of scissors.
Step 2
Cut out a triangle with sides of 8 cm from a sturdy patterned cardstock to make a hat.
Glue the triangle onto the beige circle with adhesive dots.
Step 3
Glue 2 moving eyes Ø 18 mm with adhesive pads.
Step 4
Use the button stickers to make a pom-pom on top of the hat as well as the nose of the harlequin.
Step 5
Draw a pretty smile with a marker.
Step 6
Place 2 adhesive dots at the end of a large wooden stick and then stick it behind the character's head.
Step 7
Wrap a chenille around the stick and then wrap the ends to create the arms of the harlequin.
Step 8
Make a small cut of 2 cm below the cup using a cutter.
Step 9
Insert the stick into the notch below the cup.
Step 10
Decorate the front of the cup with button stickers and a bow tie.
Step 11
Stick feather stickers around the cup.
Step 12
Choose 2 paper cups, fold them in half, and glue them on either side of the stick to create the collar of the harlequin.
