In this new activity for children themed around Carnival, we will show you how to make a funny rocking clown using a small paper plate, a half foam ball, and pipe cleaners.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a rocking clown, you will need:
- a small paper plate
- a half foam ball Ø 9.5 cm
- flesh-colored paint and a brush
- 2 googly eyes 2.5 cm
- round stickers
- a bow tie sticker
- a pom-pom
- chenille stems 30 cm x Ø 9 mm
- a black marker
- a pair of scissors
- a glue gun
Step 1
Paint the half-sphere with flesh-colored paint to create the clown's face.
TIP : place the half-sphere on a skewers stick to paint without getting your fingers dirty.
Step 2
Fold the small cardboard plate in half, then glue the half-sphere as shown in the picture using a hot glue gun.
Step 3
Glue on 2 googly eyes and a pompom to create the clown's face.
Étape 4
Draw a smile with a black marker.
Step 5
Attach a bow tie sticker to the edge of the cardboard plate.
Step 6
Decorate the edge of the plate with colorful round stickers and then stick 2 small pink stickers below the clown's eyes.
Step 7
Choose 6 assorted colored pipe cleaners and cut them in half. These will be used to create the clown's hair.
Here we opted for pipe cleaners with a diameter of 9 mm to achieve a thick hairstyle.
Step 8
Wrap the caterpillars around a pencil to create small "springs".
Step 9
Plant the rolled-up caterpillars in the polystyrene to create the clown's colorful hair.
