Decorative Mosaic Ball
Discover our tutorial on how to create a decorative ball or a mosaic paperweight. For this activity, you will need a styrofoam ball, 1 cm mosaic and mirror pieces, mosaic glue, white grout, a sponge, and white vinegar (optional).
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Step 2
First, glue the mosaics that will go on these previously drawn reference lines. For this, use inverted mirror mosaics with colored green mosaics.
Next, glue the red, orange, and yellow facets that fill the white areas.
Step 3
Once the mosaics are glued and the glue is dry, apply the grout paste to the ball. Completely cover it so that the grout seeps between each facet of the mosaic.
Step 4
Use a damp sponge to remove the excess grout. Once the grout is dry, if necessary, you can apply a second layer of grout.
Step 5
Once the ball is finished, you can wipe it with a cloth and white vinegar to bring out each facet and clean any joint residue that may remain.
