In this activity, we will show you how to create an original and practical Tic Tac Toe game that children can take with them anywhere! For this craft, we will use pebbles, a cotton bag, and geometric shape stickers.
Tic Tac Toe is a simple and quick game to learn, but it still offers interesting tactical possibilities.

Reminder of the game rules:
- Tic Tac Toe is a board game played by two players on a 3x3 grid.
- Each player chooses pieces with the same symbol
- Players take turns placing their symbol in an empty cell of the grid.
- The objective is to align three identical symbols horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
- If a player manages to align three of their symbols, they win the game.
- If the grid is completely filled and no player has succeeded in aligning three symbols, the game ends in a draw.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a tic-tac-toe game, you will need:
- a cotton bag
- flat stones
- geometric stickers
- a black fabric marker
- a ruler
Step 1
Cut a piece of paper to the size of the bag and then slide it inside.
This will prevent any ink transfer from one side to the other.
Step 2
Draw the tic-tac-toe grid on one side of the cotton bag using a ruler and a fabric marker.
The grid consists of 3 rows and 3 columns for a total of 9 spaces.
Step 3
Select 10 pebbles.
Decorate 5 pebbles with "triangle" stickers and 5 pebbles with "round" stickers.
You can stack the geometric shapes to create a beautiful 3D effect on the pebbles!
Step 4
You can now use the decorated pebbles and the bag to play a game of tic-tac-toe.
Step 5
Once the game is finished, you can store the pebbles in the small cotton bag.
Thanks to this practical storage bag, you can take this tic-tac-toe game with you everywhere, whether at home or on vacation!
