Drawing Colorful Circles with a Screwdriver
This is a fun and easy little experiment that parents can do with their children to create beautiful colorful circles!
For this, you will simply need a screwdriver (or drill), thick white paper, some markers, and a bit of double-sided tape.
Rest assured, this activity is safe for children as the bit of the screwdriver/drill will be removed.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
For this activity, you will need:
- a drill/screwdriver (without a bit)
- strong A4 cards (300 g/m2)
- markers
- a pair of scissors
- double-sided tape (3.5 cm wide)
Step 1
Cut an A4 white sheet into 4 pieces.
Step 2
Place a piece of double-sided tape in the center of the card.
Step 3
Remove the bit from the drill / screwdriver and glue the white card onto the chuck.
Without the bit, there will be no risk for children!
Step 4
Place the screwdriver on a table.
Step 5
For younger children:
- The adult presses the trigger of the screwdriver to turn the blank board.
- The child moves a colored marker from the center to the edge of the blank board to create pretty circles, varying the colors throughout.
For older children:
- Hold the drill and simultaneously press the trigger with the left hand to rotate the sheet.
- Draw the circles using the right hand (or the opposite for left-handed children).
Step 6
Vary the colors, intervals, and press harder or lighter to achieve unique results every time!
