How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make maracas, you will need:
- cardboard rolls (about 11 cm)
- aluminum foil
- rice
- rolls of masking tape
- holographic adhesive strips
- shiny geometric stickers
Step 1
Cut a piece of aluminum foil about 30 cm long, place the cardboard tube in the center of the foil, and then wrap it all together.
Note: Our cardboard tubes are larger and thicker than standard toilet paper rolls, making the maracas much sturdier!
Step 2
Fold the aluminum at one end.
Step 3
Pour about half a cup of rice into the cardboard roll.
Step 4
Fold the aluminum over the second side to enclose the rice.
Step 5
Decorate the roll by sticking 3 strips of masking tape around it. One at each end and one in the middle.
Step 6
Glue shiny stickers between the strips of masking tape to give a festive touch to this little musical instrument.
Step 7
Complete the decoration by sticking a holographic adhesive strip above each masking tape strip to add contrast and shine.
Step 8
Make a second maraca for twice the fun!
