Funny Snail with Beads and Paper Plate
An easy and fun craft that allows children to make a funny snail using a paper plate, beads, and paper.
This playful activity combines cutting and gluing and is accessible to even the youngest age groups !
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a funny snail, you will need:
- a white cardboard plate
- plastic beads
- round stickers
- a tube of strong white glue
- a colored heavy card 25 x 35 cm (300 g/m²)
- a pair of scissors
- a colored chenille 30 cm
- adhesive tape
- 2 movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- an adhesive bow tie
- a black marker
Step 1
Draw a spiral on the inside of the plate with a tube of strong white glue and then place colored plastic beads along the glue line.
Step 2
Stick round stickers around the edge of the plate.
Step 3
Cut the body of the snail out of a colored strong card 25 x 35 cm.
Step 4
Glue the plate onto the body of the snail with strong white glue.
Step 5
Fold a pipe cleaner in half, turn the snail over, and then stick the pipe cleaner as shown in the photo using a piece of tape.
Step 6
Wrap the ends of the caterpillar as shown in the photo.
Step 7
Glue 2 moveable eyes Ø 2.5 cm onto the ends of the caterpillar.
Step 8
Glue a sticky bow tie to give a chic and funny touch to your snail, then draw a smile with a black marker.
