A fun and easy craft to do with children for Halloween!
Using glass jars, tissue paper, glue, and a few accessories, children can create monstrous lanterns that glow in the dark.
A result that will delight children once night falls!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make Halloween lanterns, you will need:
- glass jars (size: 6.5 cm)
- squares of tissue paper
- glue and a brush
- colored glass eyes
- a sheet of adhesive blackboard
- colorful mega caterpillars
- bat stickers
- electric candles
- adhesive pads (or a tube of strong white glue)
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Apply glue varnish to the entire surface of the glass jar with a brush, then stick squares of tissue paper.
Pass another layer of glue varnish over each glued tissue paper square.
Once the surface is completely covered, let it dry for a few hours.
Step 2
Stick colorful monster eyes onto the glass jar using adhesive dots or strong white glue.
Step 3
Cut out the monster's mouth from a sheet of self-adhesive blackboard and stick it onto the glass jar.
Tip: draw the monster's mouth with a pencil on the white surface on the back of the blackboard.
Step 4
Wrap the neck of the pot with a colorful mega chenille and then twist the wires together to secure them.
Cut the excess chenille with a pair of scissors.
Step 5
Stick a bat on the lid of the jar.
Tip: although bats are sticky, we recommend sticking it with white glue or a glue dot.
Step 6
Place an electric candle in the pot...
Step 7
... to obtain little glowing monsters that shine in the dark once night has fallen!
