Witch Puppet

For this craft, you will need:

- a white cardboard plate Ø 21 cm

- 2 sheets of sturdy 300 gsm A4 paper (green + black)

- acrylic paint and a brush

- a 9 cm wooden stick

- a 15 cm wooden strip

- 1 googly eye

- a little wool

- white glue

- a pair of scissors

- a precision cutter

Paint the cardboard plate with acrylic paint in a color similar to that of the night sky. To achieve this, mix blue paint with a little black paint.

Let it dry for 10 minutes.

Paint a yellow circle to represent the moon in the sky.

With a fine brush, add small touches of paint to simulate the stars.

To make the witch, you need to cut out the following geometric shapes from sturdy cardstock:

- a large black triangle for the witch's dress

- a small black triangle for the witch's hat

- a black rectangle for the base of the hat

- a green circle for the witch's face

- a small green triangle for the witch's nose

Glue the geometric shapes together with white glue to create the witch.

Accessorize the witch by sticking small pieces of wool for the hair, adding a googly eye, and drawing a small smile with a black marker.

Using yarn, make a small pom-pom, then attach it to a wooden stick to create the witch's broom (see the detailed technique in the video by clicking under the main photo).

Glue the witch onto the broom with white glue.

Using white glue, attach a 15 cm wooden strip perpendicularly to the witch's broom.

Using a precision knife, make a notch in the plate at the same location as shown in the adjacent photo.

Insert the witch puppet into the slot of the plate.

You can now make the witch fly in the sky with her broom!
