Halloween Monsters (Stress Balls)
In this Halloween tutorial, we will create small moldable Halloween monsters in the form of stress balls.
Instead of the traditional flour used in stress balls, we will use modeling sand, which is much more enjoyable to knead.
A fun activity that children of all ages will love!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a small stress-relief monster you will need:
- a latex balloon
- modeling sand
- a tray
- an empty water bottle
- a small spoon
- a marker
- some wool
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Put the sand in a plastic tray and then fill the bottle with sand using a small spoon.
Step 2
Attach a balloon to the neck of the bottle.
Step 3
Apply successive pressures on the bottle (as if you were trying to inflate the balloon with a pump) to make the sand enter the balloon.
Step 4
Once the balloon is filled with sand, remove it from the neck of the bottle and tie a knot.
Step 5
You can now knead the ball and shape it using molding sand!
Step 6
Draw the eyes and mouth of your little monster with a black permanent marker.
Step 7
Cut small pieces of wool, 15 cm long, and tie them around the knot of the balloon to create colorful "hair".
Step 8
Children can now enjoy squishing and deforming the little monsters.
Then all that is left is to create new Halloween characters: pumpkins, ghosts, witches, vampires...
