With small pumpkins and a little paint, we are going to create a lovely decoration to brighten up the home for Halloween.
This cute and simple activity will allow children to have fun around the Halloween theme while developing their fine motor skills and artistic sense. In addition to having a good time together, you will have a unique and personalized decoration to celebrate this magical and mysterious holiday !
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity, you will need:
- a round wooden base (Ø 10 cm)
- 3 mini foam pumpkins
- acrylic paint (black, orange) and a brush
- adhesive rhinestone strips
- glass monster eyes
- a green caterpillar
- a glue gun
- skewers
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Paint the mini pumpkins orange and the wooden base with black paint.
Tip: Stick the mini pumpkins on wooden skewers to paint them without getting your fingers dirty!
Step 2
Cut a piece of green pipe cleaner about 6 cm long and then wrap it around a wooden skewer.
Remove the twisted pipe cleaner from the skewer and insert it into the polystyrene to create the pumpkin's tail.
Step 3
Glue 2 monster eyes onto each pumpkin using the glue gun.
Step 4
Decorate the edge of the wooden support with a strip of adhesive rhinestones.
Step 5
Glue 2 pumpkins onto the wooden support using the glue gun.
Glue the third pumpkin on top of the first two.
Step 6
Glue a spider onto the top pumpkin to finish your creation.
