Using the decoupage technique, this quick craft is the perfect opportunity for children to develop their creativity while sharing a memorable moment with family or at school.
You can then use the eggs to decorate a table, hang them in a tree, or even make a lovely garland for the garden or classroom.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
For this activity, you will need:
- white plastic eggs
- sheets of tissue paper
- glue varnish and a brush
- fabric bows
- organza ribbon
- silver push pins
- adhesive dots
- a pair of scissors
- wooden sticks
- a pencil sharpener
Step 1:
To begin, cut 4 squares of colored tissue paper. This will give us more colors for the eggs.
Step 2:
Using a pencil sharpener, sharpen the wooden sticks so that they can be easily inserted into the small hole located underneath our plastic eggs.
Tip: make sure the egg is securely blocked.
Step 3:
Apply glue varnish with a brush over the entire surface of the plastic egg and then stick on some squares of tissue paper.
Step 4:
Apply another layer of glue-varnish on each square of paper that has already been glued. Then repeat these steps until the entire surface is completely covered.
Allow to dry for 30 minutes.
Step 5:
Insert a silver attachment into the hole of the egg so that it can be hung.
Step 6:
Cut a piece of organza ribbon about 15 cm long, thread it through the clasp, and tie a double knot to finish the suspension.
Step 7:
Finally, stick a rhinestone butterfly bow at the top of the egg with an adhesive dot.
