Little Sleepy Chicks

We love these little black sleepy chicks that remind us of a famous black chick with big eyes wandering around with an eggshell on its head!

For this craft, you will simply need scratch card eggs, patterned paper, and some colorful accessories (flower, bow, lace). It's an easy Easter activity to do with children from the age of 3 that will allow you to create original decorations to hang on the Easter tree or in your home.

Materials

To make a little chick, you will need:

- a scratch card egg

- patterned paper

- adhesive lace

- a felt flower sticker

- a colored fabric bow

- adhesive dots

- a glue stick

- a pair of scissors

- a pencil

Step 1

Place half of the egg on a patterned cardstock and trace around it using a pencil.

Cut along the outline and glue the patterned paper onto the egg to create a small shell-shaped hat for the chick.

Step 2

Cut a piece of adhesive lace and then stick it underneath the patterned paper.

Step 3

Stick a colored bow at the top of the egg with an adhesive dot.

Complete the decoration by gluing a nice felt flower above the lace.

Step 4

Draw the eyes, beak, and little cheeks of the chick using the scraper provided with the eggs.

The color appears magically by scratching the black surface.

Step 5

Make a hole in the patterned card with the tip of the scissors so that you can thread a ribbon (included with the eggs) and hang the little chick in the Easter tree.
