Harlequin with a Paper Plate
With a simple paper plate, some sheets of paper, and a multitude of colorful stickers, children will bring to life an adorable Harlequin. This easy and original cutting and gluing activity is perfect for getting into the festive spirit of Carnival!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Matériel
Pour fabriquer un arlequin il faut :
- une assiette en carton blanc
- une carte forte beige
- une carte forte à motifs colorés
- des gommettes "pétales" aquarelle
- 2 yeux mobiles Ø 2,5 cm
- un noeud papillon
- un tube de colle
- une paire de ciseaux
- un crayon
En option (accessoires très pratiques) :
- un cutter circulaire
- une plaque de coupe
Step 1
Cut out a circle with a diameter of 11 cm from a sturdy beige card.
You can use a bowl to trace the circle and then cut it out with a pair of scissors.
Another option: use our circular cutter along with a cutting mat for an easy and perfect cut.
Step 2
Fold the cardboard plate in half.
Step 3
Glue the paper circle onto the plate to create the harlequin's head.
Step 4
Cut a triangle from a heavy patterned card and then glue it onto the beige circle to create the harlequin's hat.
Dimensions of the triangle: 13 cm at the base and 13 cm in height.
Step 5
Stick 2 moving eyes Ø 2.5 cm.
Step 6
Stick a round sticker to make the harlequin's nose and two small pink stickers under the eyes to give it a cute touch.
Stick one last round sticker at the top of the harlequin's hat.
Step 7
Draw a smile with a marker.
Step 8
Decorate the "collar" of the harlequin using petal stickers on the first row and round stickers on the second row.
Step 9
Glue a pretty bow tie to finish your creation.
