How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make glowing monsters, you will need:
- plastic jars (8 cm)
- masking tape
- monster eye stickers
- colorful mega caterpillars
- a black marker
- a mini LED bulb
- a hole punch
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Cover the plastic jar with 3 strips of masking tape.
The white tape will allow for better light diffusion in the dark!
Step 2
Create your monster by sticking on two eye stickers and drawing the mouth with a black marker.
Step 3
Cut a mega caterpillar into 2 pieces and wrap one piece around the neck of the jar.
Twist the two ends of the caterpillar together to secure everything in place.
Step 4
Turn the jar lid upside down and make a hole in the center using a hole punch.
Note: Place a cutting mat under the lid to protect your work surface!
Step 5
Thread the bulb's cord through the hole in the lid.
Step 6
Place the bulb inside the jar and screw on the lid.
Step 7
Pull on the bulb's cord to turn on the light and make your little monster shine in the dark.
To turn off the bulb, simply pull the cord a second time.
Step 8
Vary the eyes and facial expressions to create a whole army of little glowing monsters for Halloween.
