How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a spider, you need:
- a polystyrene disc (Ø 8 cm)
- black paint and a brush
- 4 black chenille stems
- 2 monster eyes
- a white paint marker
- colored round beads
- a metal hook
- nylon thread
- a pair of scissors
- a wooden skewer
Step 1
Paint the polystyrene disc with black acrylic paint and let it dry for about an hour.
Tip: Insert the disc onto a wooden skewer to paint without getting your fingers dirty.
Step 2
Cut 4 black chenille stems in half to get the 8 legs of the spider.
Insert the pieces of chenille into the polystyrene.
Step 3
Thread 2 colored beads onto each chenille stem and shape the spider's legs.
Step 4
Glue 2 colored eyes above the disc.
Step 5
Draw a mouth and small details with a white paint marker.
Step 6
Insert a metal hook into the polystyrene and attach a piece of nylon thread to the ring.
This way, you can hang the spider against a wall or from the ceiling.
