- a free printable egg template here
- two sheets of white cardstock (300 g/m² - A4)
- one sheet of yellow cardstock (300 g/m² - A4)
- flower and heart stickers
- a satin ribbon
- a giant stick
- double-sided tape
- a pair of scissors
- a glue stick
- a black and orange marker
Step 1
Print the egg template here, then cut out the outline with a pair of scissors.
Place the cut-out template on a sturdy white card and cut around the egg.
Step 2
Cut a new egg from a strong white card to obtain two identical eggs.
Then cut one of the two in a "zig-zag" pattern to create the two parts of the chick's shell.
Step 3
Using scissors, cut out the shape of a chick from a strong yellow cardstock, being careful to leave some space to facilitate Step 4.
Step 4
Attach a giant stick to the back of the chick in the inner space.
Step 5
Place 3 pieces of double-sided tape as shown in the photo: on each side of the chick and on top of the chick.
Step 6
Glue flower stickers onto the chick and a pretty satin bow using double-sided adhesive.
Step 7
Create the chick's two eyes using the remaining white cardstock and a black marker, then stick them with glue.
Finally, draw the chick's beak with an orange marker.
