Magic Plastic Handprint Keychain

Para fabricar un llavero huella de mano se necesita:

- una hoja de plástico mágico transparente

- de la pintura acrílica y un pincel

- marcadores de pintura

- una perforadora

- un par de tijeras

- cordón de algodón encerado Ø 1 mm

- perlas "Shine"

- perlas de alfabeto de madera

- un pompón colorido

- un anillo de metal para enganchar

- un barniz

Apply acrylic paint with a brush on the inside of children's hands.

Quickly place the hand on a sheet of magic plastic and press firmly to transfer the handprint onto the plastic sheet.

Then wash the children's hands with soap and water before the paint dries.

Once the paint is dry (count about 30 minutes), flip the magic plastic sheet over and draw a heart in the center of the hand using a paint marker.

Customize the print with the first name and age of the children.

Cut the magic plastic following the outline of the imprint.

To avoid weakening the keychain, it is recommended not to cut between the fingers.

Punch a hole in the magic plastic, at the top of the hand, using a hole punch.

Since the plastic shrinks due to heat, we recommend making a hole of at least Ø 6 mm in order to easily attach a ring later.

Place the key holder in a dish with a sheet of baking paper, then put the whole thing in an oven preheated to about 150 °C.

Leave the keychain in the oven for a maximum of 2 to 3 minutes.

The plastic will shrink and deform as shown in the picture, which is completely normal. The imprint will then return to its normal shape and will no longer shrink; this is when you need to remove it from the oven.

Remove the dish from the oven and then immediately flatten the imprint using a spatula while the plastic is still warm and malleable.

To protect the paint, we recommend varnishing both sides of the imprint.

Attach a waxed cotton cord Ø 1 mm x 50 cm to a snap ring.

Thread colorful round beads as well as wooden alphabet beads to form the word DAD.

Make a double knot to secure everything and then cut the excess cord.

Open the snap ring and then pass it through the hole located at the top of the imprint.

For even more colors, attach a large colorful pom-pom to the ring!
