Translucent Magic Plastic - 5 Sheets
Magic plastic comes in the form of sheets with a smooth side and a rough side for drawing. It’s called ‘magic’ because, under heat, these sheets shrink to 2.5 times their original size and thicken by 7 times, transforming into a small hard plastic object. Here, the sheets are translucent, allowing you to either draw your own design or trace a design that you have previously printed.
It is easy to decorate with colored pencils, felt-tip pens, or paint markers like Posca.
It is also known as crazy plastic or wild plastic.
Usage Tips:
- Draw on the rough side (with pencils, felt-tips, or markers)
- Cut out your design
- Place it in a regular oven (at 150°C to 180°C - thermostat 4-5 depending on your oven’s capacity) for a few minutes. The plastic will twist under the heat. This is normal; after a few minutes, this transformation will stop and your design will have shrunk!
- Then place the drawing under a heavy object before it cools (like a book, which helps keep the object flat).
Don’t hesitate to do a test if it’s the first time you are using magic plastic to see how it reacts to heat.
