For Mother's Day and Father's Day, we will show you how to make amazing keychains with the kids!
A simple DIY for the parents' celebration. Combining PAPA and MAMA wood beads with a variety of colorful round beads and faux suede pom-poms will give these keychains a look close to jewelry!
A lovely accessory that dads and moms will be happy to attach to their keyrings.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create lovely keychains for Parents' Day, you will need:
- wooden beads "DAD" "MOM"
- beautiful colored beads in varying shapes
- small faux suede pom-poms
- thermally sealed nylon thread
- small carabiners
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Cut a piece of heat-sealed wire measuring 40 cm.
Fold the wire in half, place the loop in the ring of the carabiner and then pass the two ends of the wire through the loop.
Note: We chose to use heat-sealed wire for this activity because it is very strong and will help create a keychain that is equally durable!
Step 2
Thread 3 colored round beads onto the 2 pieces of nylon thread.
Step 3
String the wooden beads to form the word MOM or DAD.
Note: A bag of wooden beads can create 10 words "DAD" + 10 words "MOM".
Step 4
Add 3 new colored round beads.
Step 5
Attach the thread to a colored pompom using a triple knot to finish the keychain.
Cut off the excess thread with a pair of scissors.
Step 6
The small carabiner will be very handy for attaching a key or for hanging the keychain on a bag!
