How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create this board, you will need:
- a wooden base (22 x 15 cm)
- 4 large wooden sticks (15.5 cm)
- a wooden heart (10 cm)
- a wooden clothespin
- decorative adhesive paper
- adhesive rubber letters
- adhesive wooden ladybugs
- solid gouache sticks
- masking tape
- nano tape
- a pair of scissors
- a sturdy card base
Step 1
Decorate the wooden heart using a solid poster paint stick.
Step 2
Cut the ends of a wooden stick with a pair of scissors to create a pencil shape.
Repeat this process to obtain 3 pencil-shaped sticks.
Step 3
Decorate the body of the sticks and the tip with solid poster paint to create colored pencils.
Tip: Use masking tape to create clean edges!
Step 4
Choose a patterned adhesive sheet and then cut it to the dimensions of the rectangular wooden base.
Remove the protective film and then stick the sheet onto the base.
Step 5
Glue the wooden elements (3 pencils - 1 stick - 1 heart and a clothespin) as shown in the photo using nano tape.
Step 6
Customize the board with adhesive letters by writing a message in the heart as well as the child's name on the undecorated stick.
Step 7
Complete the decoration by gluing small wooden ladybugs.
Step 8
Place a photo in the clothespin.
Step 9
Practical: to display the children's artwork, you can use our cardboard supports to glue to the back of the creations!
