Discover an activity themed around space where we will create a rocket traveling through the universe using a cardboard plate and a cup.
Children will also learn a new painting technique to create a starry background using a toothbrush !

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
For this activity you will need:
- a paper plate
- a paper cup
- acrylic paint (silver, dark blue, white)
- a paintbrush
- colored cardstock
- a pair of scissors
- space stickers
- rhinestone stickers
- adhesive dots
- a toothbrush
Step 1
Paint the cardboard plate with blue paint and the cup with silver paint.
Step 2
Dip the bristles of a toothbrush into white paint and then splatter the plate by pulling on the bristles.
This technique will allow us to achieve a beautiful starry sky effect.
Step 3
Cut out a large orange flame and a small yellow flame.
Step 4
Overlay the two flames with adhesive dots and then stick the entire assembly inside the cup to create the rocket's engine.
Step 5
Cut and paste 2 small paper portholes onto the cup.
Step 6
Decorate the rocket with shiny rhinestone stickers.
Step 7
Stick the rocket to the center of the plate using adhesive dots.
Step 8
Decorate the edge and the bottom of the plate with stickers on the theme of space.
