Rocking Chickens

To make a rocking hen you need:

- a white cardboard plate Ø 21 cm

- acrylic paint and a brush

- colored sturdy cards and a pair of scissors

- colored feathers

- 3D heart stickers

- a stick of white glue

- a black permanent marker

- a craft knife

Flip the cardboard plate and then paint the entire surface with acrylic paint.

Once the paint is dry, fold the plate in half.

Cut out the following shapes from colored cardboard:

- 2 half-circles for the chicken's wings

- a beak + a wattle

- a comb

Using a white glue stick, stick the different paper elements onto the plate to create the chicken.

In a blank card, cut out a small circle for the chicken's eye, then glue it onto the plate.

Draw the eye (and eyelashes for a cute touch) with a black permanent marker.

Using a pencil, make a small hole of about 0.5 cm at the back of the hen (on the fold of the plate).

Insert 4 to 5 feathers in matching colors into the small hole formed.

Decorate the chicken's wings with 3D stickers to add a touch of color to your creation.

Your rocking hen is now complete!

For Easter, place the hens in the garden and hide eggs under them. This way, children will have to find the hens in the garden in order to discover the delicious chocolate eggs!
