Santa Claus and His Soft Beard
Discover an easy creative activity to make a Santa Claus with a soft beard.
For this, children will use a styrofoam cone, some paint, and synthetic fur !
Activity to be carried out with the help of an adult.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a Santa Claus you will need:
- a polystyrene cone
- flesh-colored acrylic paint
- a paintbrush
- a small felt hat
- a pom-pom
- 2 googly eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- a piece of synthetic fur
- a hot glue gun
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Paint the polystyrene cone in flesh color and then let the paint dry for about an hour.
Step 2
Slip a small felt cap onto the top of the cone.
Step 3
Glue 2 moveable eyes Ø 2.5 cm and a pom-pom onto the cone.
Step 4
Cut a square of synthetic fur about 8 to 10 cm.
Step 5
Glue the synthetic fur piece to the base of the cone to create Santa Claus's beard.
Step 6
Cut two small strips of fur (about 5 cm).
Step 7
Glue the 2 strips on either side of the cone to complete your project.
If needed, trim Santa Claus's beard with a pair of scissors.
