Light-Up Snowman with a Cup
Here is a lovely Christmas creative activity that will allow children to make beautiful light-up snowmen!
Ideal for decorating the home for the year-end celebrations.
Activity to be done under the supervision of an adult.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a luminous snowman, you need
- a translucent plastic cup
- a polystyrene ball Ø 7 cm
- a small hat
- 2 wiggle eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- a black marker and an orange marker
- a bow tie sticker
- buttons
- a brown chenille
- white adhesive lace
- a LED candle
- a glue gun
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
This step may require the help of an adult
Turn the cup upside down and glue a 7 cm Ø polystyrene ball using a glue gun.
Step 2
This step may require the help of an adult
Stick a small hat and 2 large googly eyes onto the polystyrene ball.
Step 3
Draw the nose and mouth of the snowman with markers.
Step 4
Paste a nice bow tie sticker at the top of the cup.
Step 5
Stick white adhesive lace at the bottom of the cup for a nice finish.
Step 6
This step may require the help of an adult
Glue 3 plastic buttons onto the cup.
Step 7
Make the 2 arms of the little man using a brown caterpillar.
Step 8
This step may require the assistance of an adult
Glue the arms onto the cup using the glue gun.
Step 9
Place a powerful LED candle under the cup to illuminate the snowman.
Note: We preferred these LED candles over our "classic" LED candles because they emit a brighter, whiter light that looks stunning with the translucent cup used.
