Materials
To carry out this activity, you will need:
- a small rectangular wooden base
- a small polystyrene cone
- a large wooden bead (Ø 4 cm)
- acrylic paint and a brush
- 2 adhesive googly eyes
- a pom-pom
- round rhinestone stickers
- adhesive lace
- 3D snow effect paste
- decorative mini gifts
- a spatula
- a wooden skewer
Step 1
Paint the polystyrene cone with red or green paint to create the base of the elf.
Tip: Stick the cone on a wooden skewer to make it easier to paint.
Step 2
Step for adults only: Cut the cone in half using a cutter or knife.
Step 3
Decorate the wooden bead with adhesive googly eyes and rhinestone stickers to create the elf's face.
Step 4
Cut an 8 cm piece from the wooden skewer, then assemble the body, head, and hat of the elf using the stick.
Step 5
Decorate the elf with adhesive lace and some round rhinestone stickers.
Step 6
Cut the tip of the hat and glue a pom-pom using a bit of snow effect paste.
Step 7
Spread a thick layer of snow effect paste on the wooden base using a spatula.
Step 8
Push the elf and a gift into the snow effect paste. As it dries, it will act like glue.
