Here is a cute and easy gift to make for Parents' Day! Children will turn polystyrene half-spheres into photo frame caps using some paper, stickers, and plastic pins to stick into the polystyrene.
A creative activity to create a lovely gift for Father's Day / Mother's Day, all at a low cost!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a nice photo holder cap, you need:
- a half-sphere made of polystyrene (Ø 10 cm)
- a thick patterned card
- plastic push pins
- letter stickers
- a photo holder stem
- double-sided adhesive tape
- a pair of scissors
- a pencil
Step 1
Place a large half-sphere made of polystyrene on a sturdy patterned card and then trace the outline of the sphere using a pencil.
Then draw the visor of the cap.
Step 2
Cut out the shape of the cap following your outline.
Step 3
Cut a strip of double-sided adhesive tape and stick it underneath the half-sphere.
Remove the protective film.
Step 4
Glue the half-sphere onto the base of the cap.
Step 5
Decorate the cap by inserting colored plastic pins into the polystyrene.
Step 6
Customize the cap with rubber adhesive letters.
Step 7
Plant a photo holder stem at the center of the cap.
Step 8
Hang a nice photo at the top of the stem to complete this original gift for Parents' Day!
