Materials
To make a snail you will need:
- a round wooden base Ø 10 cm
- heavy cardstock A4 size (220 g/m²)
- strips of quilling paper
- an electric roller
- quilling glue
- a quilling board
- white acrylic paint and a brush
- 2 googly eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- a black marker
Step 1
Paint the round wooden support with white paint.
Step 2
Insert the end of a special quilling paper strip into the slot of the metal tip of the roller.
Step 3
While holding the paper strip in place, press the button to activate the winder.
Thanks to this very practical accessory, the paper strip winds up in just one second!
Step 4
Place the paper roll on the tray and let it take the shape of the chosen circle.
With this tray, it will be easy to create well-calibrated paper rolls in the sizes of your choice.
Step 5
Place a dab of glue at the end of the strip to "close" the roll and thus allow it to keep its shape.
Step 6
Make approximately 30 rolls of paper in assorted sizes and colors.
Step 7
To make the snail's shell, glue your paper rolls with the quilling glue onto the wooden support.
Step 8
Place the shell on a strong colored card and then draw the body of the snail using a pencil.
Step 9
Cut the body of the snail following your outline, then glue the shell onto it with quilling glue.
Step 10
Glue 2 googly eyes and draw a smile using a black marker.
Step 11
Cut the snail's tentacles from a sturdy card and then glue them behind your creation.

Customer review
