With a paper bag and felt, children can enjoy making adorable snowmen for Christmas!
An easy craft activity that will allow kids to take their first steps with the glue gun, a very handy tool for creating instant collages!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a snowman, you will need:
- A paper bag
- Felt
- Masking tape
- White pom-poms
- Adhesive lace
- Plastic buttons
- Two wiggle eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- Markers (orange and black)
- Satin cord
- A glue gun
- Adhesive gel dots (glue dots)
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
To begin, cut off the two handles of the paper bag.
Step 2 :
Using adhesive gel dots, stick 3 plastic buttons like this.
Step 3:
Then stick a strip of masking tape across the entire width of the paper bag.
Step 4:
Then glue two smaller strips together to create the shape of a scarf.
Step 5:
Draw a mouth with a black marker and a nose with an orange marker.
Step 6:
Stick two movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm with adhesive gel dots.
Step 7:
WARNING this step may require the help of an adult.
Glue a sheet of felt (lengthwise) around the paper bag using a glue gun.
Step 8:
Using a piece of satin cord (about 20 cm), make a double knot on the felt to create a bonnet shape and then cut off the excess felt.
Step 9:
WARNING this step may require the help of an adult.
Glue a white pom-pom to the top of the hat using the glue gun.
Step 10:
Finally, stick adhesive lace around the felt.
