In this tutorial, we will show you how to make an original gift for Father's Day!
Using a large brush and a piece of wood, children will have fun recreating a superhero to symbolize their wonderful dads! For decoration, we used poster paint, masking tape, a bit of paper, and stickers for a colorful result.
This gift, made with love by the children, will truly melt the hearts of dads!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make the superhero paintbrush you will need:
- a large paintbrush
- a small wooden board
- solid gouache sticks
- masking tape
- 18 mm wiggle eyes
- colored paper
- a black marker
- letter stickers
- gem star stickers
- a tube of glue
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Decorate a wooden board with a solid metallic-colored gouache stick.
Tip: The solid gouache dries almost instantly on the wooden surface!
Step 2
Stick 2 strips of masking tape on the ferrule of the brush (metal part) and 3 strips on the wooden body of the brush.
Step 3
Glue two 18 mm movable eyes to create the superhero mask.
Step 4
Draw a smile with a black marker, then stick star stickers onto the body of the paintbrush.
Step 5
Cut out the superhero cape from a colored card and then glue it to the back of the paintbrush.
Step 6
Glue the brush onto the board as shown in the photo, making sure to leave an empty space at the top right for personalization with adhesive letters.
Step 7
Stick adhesive letters on the board to form the words "SUPER DAD".
Step 8
Decorate the wooden board with lots of star rhinestone stickers to achieve a stunning finish.
Practical: the hole at the top of the wooden board will allow you to easily hang this original piece in your home!
