In this easy and fun craft, we will guide you in transforming kraft paper bags into adorable Christmas reindeer using paper, stickers, and a few accessories.
This activity, which combines gluing and cutting, is perfectly suited for children from the age of 3, thereby stimulating their imagination while developing their fine motor skills !
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a reindeer, you will need:
- a brown kraft paper bag
- a Santa hat
- a large pom-pom
- styrofoam half-balls (Ø 5.5 cm)
- a piece of chocolate-colored cardstock
- round stickers
- wooden letter stickers
- a black paint marker
- a glue stick
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
To create the reindeer's eyes, draw the pupils on two half-spheres made of polystyrene Ø 5.5 cm with a black paint marker.
Then, glue the two eyes onto a kraft paper bag using a glue stick.
Step 2:
Next, glue a large pom-pom under the eyes using a glue stick.
Step 3:
Draw a small smile with a black paint marker.
Step 4:
Glue wooden letter stickers at the bottom of the bag to spell "Merry Christmas".
Step 5:
Stick 2 round stickers to form the reindeer's cheeks.
Step 6:
Cut out 2 shapes of "reindeer wood" and 2 shapes of ears from a strong brown card.
Step 7:
Glue the "sticks" to the front of the kraft bag (making sure to only glue the ends so that the cap can slide underneath) and the ears inside the bag.
Step 8:
Stick colored round stickers on the wood, then connect them with a black paint marker to form pretty garlands.
Step 9:
And finally, put on a Santa hat.
