Turtles with Ice Cream Sticks

To make a turtle you will need:

- 3 wooden sticks (length 15.5 cm)

- 3 or 4 matching balls of yarn

- acrylic paint and a brush

- 2 googly eyes

- universal glue

- a white paint marker

- a pair of scissors

Paint 3 wooden sticks with acrylic paint and let them dry for about 10 minutes.

Once the paint is dry, place the 3 sticks in a star shape and secure them together with wool as shown in the photo beside.

Note: The first color used will be the color visible at the center of the turtle's shell).

Once the sticks are securely attached, weave the wool around each stick to create the turtle's shell. Repeat the weaving to make about 10 to 15 complete turns of the "star".

After completing 10 to 15 full turns, cut the piece of yarn and then attach it to a piece of yarn of a different color to create a multicolored shell. Start weaving again with the new color.

Following the previous technique, braid while changing the color of the wool to create a pretty multicolored shell.

Once the braiding is complete, cut and tie the wool thread underneath the turtle.

Stick 2 googly eyes with universal glue.

Draw a smile and the turtle's legs with a white paint marker.
