250 g - Length: approximately 80 meters - Diameter of the cord: 3 mm
Flexible and well-sized, the natural rattan core braids easily. Remember to soak it in water to soften it before you begin your work.
Use our pre-drilled plywood disks as a base for braiding the rattan.
In each hole, insert a rattan stick to the desired height of your model, gluing it to the base with PVA glue. Then braid over and under.
For one project, plan for 10 to 12 meters of rattan depending on the desired height.
Decoration Ideas:
Feel free to thread colored wooden or plastic beads onto a raffia strand inserted into the rattan sticks. You can also braid strands of colored raffia.
The rattan can be dyed before braiding using 10 Doigts drawing inks. You can also give the piece an aged or distressed look by lightly dabbing it with acrylic paint using a sponge.
