Opaque White Magic Plastic - 5 Sheets
Magic plastic is characterized by sheets that have one smooth side and one rough side intended for drawing. It earns its name 'magic' due to its ability to shrink up to 2.5 times its original size and to thicken up to 7 times more under the effect of heat, thus transforming into a small solid plastic object. The opaque white sheets are specially designed to enhance colors, allowing markers and colored pencils to stand out with remarkable intensity.
It is easy to decorate with colored pencils, markers, or paint markers such as Posca.
It is also known as crazy plastic or wild plastic.
Usage Tips:
- I draw on the rough side (with pencils, markers, or paint markers)
- I cut out my design
- I place it in the household oven (at 150° to 180°C - thermostat 4-5 depending on your oven's capacity) for a few minutes. The plastic will contort under the heat, which is normal; after a few minutes, this transformation will stop and your drawing will have shrunk!
- Then place the design under a heavy object before it cools (like a book, which helps achieve a flat finish for the object)
Feel free to do a test if it's your first time using magic plastic to see how it reacts to heat.
