Birds with a Cardboard Roll
For this new colorful craft activity, we will transform cardboard rolls into colorful birds that are fun and full of colors!
An easy and fun craft for children aged 5 and up!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a bird, you will need:
- A cardboard tube
- Some colored adhesive felt
- Multicolored feathers
- A beak and stake legs
- Moving eyes (Ø 1.8 and Ø 2.5 cm)
- Adhesive gel dots
- A compass
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
Cut a piece of adhesive felt approximately 11.5 cm (height of the roll) x 20 cm.
Step 2:
Remove the protective film, then stick the adhesive felt around the cardboard roll.
Step 3 :
Cut a half-ellipse of about 5 cm from a sheet of felt in another color and then glue it to the base of the cardboard roll.
Step 4:
WARNING this step may require the assistance of an adult.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n Make three holes with a compass as shown in the photo.<\/p>
Step 5:
Next, push the bird's beak and legs into the holes.
Step 6:
Cut the calamus (hollow stem) from two feathers of the same color.
Step 7:
WARNING this step may require the help of an adult.
Make two new holes on each side with the compass and insert the two cut feathers to create the bird's wings.
Step 8:
Cut three feathers of different colors and then glue them inside the roll using adhesive gel dots.
Step 9:
Finally, stick on two googly eyes.
TIP: Adhere one eye with a diameter of 1.8 cm and one eye with a diameter of 2.5 cm for a funny look.
