How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Etape 1.
To make a rabbit puppet you will need:
- 4 sturdy A4 cards 300 g/m² (white, pink, green, purple)
- a 15 cm wooden stick
- about 80 cm of polyester cord
- a hole punch
- 2 brass fasteners (length: 2 cm)
- a pair of scissors
- a stick of white glue
- a black felt pen
- paint markers
Etape 2.
Cut out:
- the body of the rabbit from a strong white cardstock (height: about 20 cm)
- the 2 ears from a strong white cardstock (length of one ear: about 15 cm)
- the inside of the 2 ears from a pink strong cardstock
- the nose from a pink strong cardstock
- the grass from a strong green cardstock
- an egg from a strong purple cardstock (height of the egg: about 8 cm)
Etape 3.
Glue the rabbit's nose, then draw the eyes, mouth, and whiskers with a black marker.
Etape 4.
Stick the inner part of the ears (pink) onto the white ears.
Etape 5.
Decorate the egg with opaque paint markers.
Etape 6.
With a stick of white glue, stick the egg to the bottom of the rabbit's body and then stick the grass on top.
Etape 7.
Using a stick of white glue, attach a 15 cm wooden stick to the back of the rabbit so you can hold the puppet in your hand.
Etape 8.
Using a hole punch, make 2 holes of Ø3 mm at the base of each ear.
The 2 holes are positioned one below the other and are spaced about 1.5 cm apart.
Etape 9.
Make two holes of Ø3 mm at the top of the rabbit's head to attach the ears.
Using a 2 cm brad, attach the ears to the rabbit's head, leaving the hole at the base of the ears free.
Etape 10.
Cut a piece of polyester thread approximately 80 cm long, thread it through the free holes at the base of the rabbit's ears, then tie a double knot as shown in the picture alongside.
Etape 11.
To make the rabbit's ears move, just hold the puppet in one hand and pull the string down with the other hand—easy!
