Easter Egg Catapult

To carry out this activity, you will need:

- large wooden sticks (15 cm)

- a wooden spoon

- white plastic eggs (6 cm)

- elastics (Ø 6 cm)

- a white sturdy paper basket

- colored dried leaves

- paper grass

- crazy face stickers

- universal glue

Stack 7 wooden sticks and then place an eighth stick underneath the pile at a right angle.

Secure the whole thing with a rubber band as shown in the photo.

Attach the other side with an elastic band to "stabilize" the base.

The 2 elastic bands should form a cross.

Attach the base of the catapult and the end of the wooden spoon with an elastic band.

Assemble the basket using sturdy cardstock (no glue needed).

Note: it is not necessary to assemble the basket handle for this activity.

Draw a line of universal glue at the bottom of the basket and then stick colored dried leaves.

Decorate the 4 sides of the basket.

Place paper grass in the basket.

The grass will serve to 'cushion' the fall of the egg when it is launched with the catapult, thereby preventing it from bouncing out of the basket.

Decorate the plastic eggs with our crazy face stickers to give them a funny look.

Place the egg on the catapult and then try to launch it into the basket.

For added difficulty, move the catapult further away from the basket.
