How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a bat you will need:
- colored wool
- tools to make the pom-poms
- a pair of scissors
- a sturdy black card (A4 size - 300 g/m²)
- 2 googly eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- strong white glue
Step 1
Choose the pom pom tool based on the desired size for your bat (here we have chosen the tool to make a pom pom of Ø 7 cm), then wrap the yarn around it.
Step 2
Cut the wool all around by passing the scissors blade between the two plastic parts of the pom-pom maker tool.
Step 4
Cut a piece of yarn about 30 cm long, pass it between the two plastic parts, then tie a double knot to keep the pompom in shape.
Then tie a knot with the two ends of the cord to be able to hang your bat afterwards.
Step 5
Detach the two parts of the pompom-making tool.
Step 6
Cut out 2 wings and 2 ears from a sturdy black card.
Tip : Print the wing template by clicking on "Printable template" below the main photo at the top of the page.
Step 7
Apply white glue to the tip of the wing on both sides.
Step 8
Insert the wing into the pompom, then press on each side so that the wool adheres well to the glue.
Step 9
Use the same technique to glue the second wing as well as the 2 ears.
Step 10
To finish your bat, stick on 2 large moving eyes with a diameter of 2.5 cm.
