Christmas Silhouettes with Paint
In this Christmas craft activity, we will show you how to create beautiful silhouettes of a tree, reindeer, snowman, gift, gingerbread man, sleigh, star, Christmas stocking, or even a Christmas ball using paint and stamps.
You loved our versions of Halloween silhouettes, Easter silhouettes, and Autumn silhouettes, so here is our version for Christmas!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To create a Christmas silhouette, you will need:
- a silhouette to download / print
- a strong black cardstock (300 g/m²)
- gouache
- foam stamps
- plastic cups
- a pair of scissors
- repositionable spray adhesive
Step 2:
After protecting your work surface,
spray repositionable aerosol glue on the silhouette.
Let the glue set for 5 minutes.
Step 3 :
Glue the silhouette in the center of a sturdy black card.
Step 4:
In small bowls, pour a small amount of poster paint in several colors.
Step 5:
Using a stamp, apply white gouache all around the silhouette.
Tip: Starting with white will create a nice contrast with the black background.
Step 6:
Next, dab other colors while following the outline of the previous color each time.
Tip: Then add small touches of color on top.
Let dry for 20 minutes.
Step 7:
Gently peel off the silhouette.
Step 8:
Then replicate all the steps with the other silhouettes.

Ma fille est assez habille de ses mains. J'ai voulu tenter cette activité malgré son jeune âge et ça a été un vrai succès !!! Je l'ai guidé sur les premières silhouettes, puis elle s'est débrouillée toute seule sur les dernières, qui étaient forcément les plus belles :) Voilà de belles cartes de voeux à envoyer à la famille.
