Christmas Reindeer with a Paper Cup
In this Christmas craft activity, children will learn to make super cute reindeer using paper cups!
An easy and fun project to recreate with your little artists at home.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a reindeer you will need:
- a paper cup
- two brown pipe cleaners
- a rhinestone
- holly leaf stickers
- colored round beads
- a bell Ø 1.8 cm
- colored ribbon
- two moving eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- brown paint and a brush
- a white paint marker
- adhesive dots
- a compass
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
Paint a cardboard cup with brown paint.
Allow to dry for about 20 minutes.
Step 2:
This step may require the help of an adult.
Drill two holes under the cup using a compass point.
Step 3:
Insert a brown caterpillar through the 2 holes.
Step 4:
Wrap two small pieces of pipe cleaners (5 cm) around each end of the pipe cleaner sticking out from the cup.
This way, we will create the antlers of the reindeer.
Step 5:
Insert colored beads onto the brown pipe cleaners.
Step 6:
Stick two 2.5 cm googly eyes using adhesive dots.
Step 7:
Stick a rhinestone with an adhesive dot to create the reindeer's nose.
Step 8:
Draw the mouth of the reindeer with a white paint marker.
Step 9:
Wrap a piece of ribbon around the cup, then thread both ends through the bell.
Then pull the two ends to secure everything onto the cup.
Step 10:
Finally, stick holly stickers on top of the cup.
