How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a clown you will need:
- a strong cardstock frame
- a colored sheet of paper (A4)
- 2 patterned origami sheets (15 x 15 cm)
- round stickers
- eye stickers
- a bow tie sticker
- a black marker
- a glue stick
Step 1
Select a sturdy card frame and a sheet of paper in the color of your choice, then glue it to the back of the frame.
Note: To complete the activity, you can also color the frame with markers!
Step 2
Select an origami sheet of paper to create the clown's body.
Fold the sheet in half to form a triangle.
Step 3
Fold the side points of the triangle down to form the body and the two arms of the clown.
Step 4
Glue the clown's body to the inside of the frame (lower part).
Step 5
Select a sheet of origami paper to create the clown's head.
Fold the sheet in half to form a triangle.
Step 6
Unfold the sheet (white side up) and then make 2 folds along the center line.
Step 7
Fold the edges as shown in the photo to create the brim of the clown's hat.
Step 8
Turn the sheet over and fold the corner.
Step 9
Glue the clown's head onto its body inside the frame.
Step 10
Decorate the clown's head using eye stickers and round stickers (one large for the nose and two small for the cheeks).
Draw a nice smile using a black marker / pencil.
Step 11
Adhere a bow tie sticker at the junction between the body and the head of the clown.
Step 12
Decorate the clown's shirt and hat with round stickers to complete your creation.
