In this creative Christmas activity, we will make cute snowmen using glass jars, styrofoam balls, and lots of colorful accessories.
These easy-to-make little snowmen will perfectly complement the Christmas decoration of your home!
Activity to be carried out with the help of an adult.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a nice snowman, you will need:
- a glass jar with a cork lid
- white cotton
- a 7 cm polystyrene ball
- a chenille
- a pom-pom
- 2 googly eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- an orange cardstock
- a fabric bow
- heart-shaped buttons
- a pair of scissors
- a black marker
- a glue gun
Step 1
Fill the glass jar with white cotton.
Step 2
Apply glue on the neck of the glass jar and then attach a polystyrene ball Ø 7 cm to create the head of the snowman.
Step 3
To create a funny hat, glue the cork stopper onto the polystyrene ball using the hot glue gun.
Then glue a colored pom-pom onto the stopper.
Step 4
Glue 2 movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm onto the polystyrene ball.
Step 5
Cut out a carrot-shaped nose from a sturdy card and glue it onto the polystyrene ball.
Draw the mouth of the snowman with a black marker.
Step 6
Wrap a chenille around the neck and then twist the two wires together to hold it all in place and form the arms of the snowman.
Step 7
Glue a pretty colored fabric bow.
Step 8
Glue a few colored buttons to add a nice finish to your snowman.
