How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a scarecrow, you will need:
- one giant wooden stick (25 cm)
- 8 large wooden sticks (15 cm)
- acrylic paint (ochre and brown)
- a paintbrush
- fabric flowers
- 2 googly eyes (Ø 2.5 cm)
- wooden buttons
- natural raffia
- a black marker
- adhesive dots and nano tape
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Paint the giant stick with ochre yellow acrylic paint.
Also paint one large wooden stick the same color, leaving the ends unpainted to create the scarecrow's arms.
Step 2
Align 5 wooden sticks.
Stick nano tape on a sixth stick and then attach it diagonally to the 5 aligned sticks.
Step 3
Flip the aligned sticks over.
Stick a strip of nano tape along the entire length (important) of a new stick, then attach it to the aligned sticks, about 5 cm from the edge to create the scarecrow's hat.
Step 4
Decorate the scarecrow's hat with brown paint and let it dry for about 20 minutes.
Step 5
Assemble the body, arms, and head of the scarecrow using nano tape.
Step 6
Attach 2 googly eyes, some flowers on the hat, and one last flower to make a little nose for your character.
Draw a nice smile with a black marker.
Step 7
Stick wooden buttons using adhesive dots for easy attachment.
Step 8
Cut small pieces of raffia and glue them onto the adhesive strip located behind the hat to create the scarecrow's hair.
