Easter Basket to Decorate with Cardboard Straws
Discover an original Easter activity that allows children to create pretty decorative baskets in which they can place eggs!
To do this, we will use cardboard straws, which we will cut and glue onto the 4 sides of the basket to achieve a lovely colorful creation.
A simple and fun craft for children from the age of 5.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a pretty Easter basket you need:
- a white sturdy paper basket
- cardboard straws
- double-sided adhesive tape (width: 3.5 cm)
- fabric tape
- 3D rubber flowers
- paper grass
- small polystyrene eggs
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Assemble the white cardboard basket (delivered flat).
Our baskets are very easy to assemble, with no glue required!
Step 2
Stick a strip of colored fabric tape (adhesive fabric) on the basket handle.
Step 3
Attach the handle by passing it through the notches located on the sides of the basket.
Step 4
Cut approximately 80 pieces of cardboard straws to 6 cm in length.
Step 5
Glue double-sided tape (3.5 cm wide) to the 4 sides of the basket.
Step 6
Simply glue the small pieces of straws onto the adhesive tape to decorate the basket.
Step 7
Once the 4 sides of the basket are decorated with straws, glue 3D rubber flowers onto the handle of the basket (the flowers come with adhesive pads).
Step 8
Fill the basket with paper grass.
Step 9
Add small polystyrene eggs to the basket.
Note: children can decorate the polystyrene eggs with paint or markers beforehand!
