Make a popsicle chick: a creative and easy Easter activity!
Discover a simple and fun DIY for kids: a popsicle chick to paint and assemble! This activity is perfect for Easter, spring, or an introduction to creative activities.
Making Steps:
- Align several popsicle sticks and secure them together with two sticks glued across the back.
- Paint the whole thing yellow and let it dry.
- Glue on the googly eyes and cut out a triangular beak from orange foam or cardboard.
- Add wings on the sides and legs at the bottom to bring your chick to life.
Decor tip: Add glitter or a ribbon to personalize your creation!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Etape 1.
To make this chick, you will need:
- 11 wooden sticks (length 9.3 cm)
- yellow acrylic paint
- a paintbrush
- 2 lightweight or sturdy cards (1 yellow + 1 orange)
- 2 googly eyes Ø 25 mm
- glue stick
- a pair of scissors
Etape 2.
Paint the 11 wooden sticks with yellow acrylic paint.
There is no need to paint both sides of the sticks.
Etape 3.
Align 9 sticks side by side, with the colored side facing down.
Using a glue stick, attach the 2 remaining sticks perpendicularly to the 9 other sticks (see photo on the side).
Let it dry for about 10 minutes.
Etape 4.
Stick 2 moving eyes Ø 25 mm onto the yellow face.
Etape 5.
Cut out 2 wings from yellow cardstock and then the beak and legs of the chick from orange cardstock.
Etape 6.
Attach the 2 wings and the beak to the front face and the 2 legs to the back face for a lovely finish.
