During this craft activity, we will teach you how to transform a cardboard cup into an adorable Father Christmas car.
This colorful and lively Christmas craft will be the star of your table during the Christmas dinner.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a car, you will need:
- a paper cup
- four polystyrene balls Ø 3 cm
- Christmas rubber stickers
- decorative little gifts
- Christmas wooden decorations
- a large white caterpillar
- glitter tape
- red paint and a brush
- a pair of scissors
- a craft knife
- a glue gun
Step 1:
To begin, paint the cup with red paint, making sure to leave the bottom white intentionally.
Let the paint dry for about 20 minutes.
Step 2:
This step may require the help of an adult.
Using a craft knife, make a notch measuring 5.5 cm wide by 3 cm long, as shown below.
Step 3:
This step may require the assistance of an adult.
Lift the tab, then glue a piece of mega chenille all around the cutout with a glue gun.
Step 4:
Stick a rubber Christmas character onto the tab.
Step 5:
Next, slide a decorative gift inside the opening.
Step 6:
Stick a sequin-effect adhesive tape to the front as well as to the back of the cup.
Step 7:
This step may require the assistance of an adult.
Then, use a hot glue gun to attach four polystyrene balls Ø 3 cm, which will serve as wheels for the car.
Step 8:

Finally, decorate the car by sticking on wooden Christmas shapes using the glue gun.
